The Robert Morris University School of Business Administration named RMU Alumna Natasha Weathers Granholm of Aurora as 2013 the Business Leader of the Year. At the annual meeting and dinner of the School of Business Administration Advisory Board, held at RMU's student-run Eyrie Restaurant in Oak Park, former recipient and long time board member Phil Carrier of Bloomingdale presented Natasha with the award and expressed sincere appreciation for her efforts on behalf of Robert Morris.

Ms. Granholm graduated from RMU in 1997. She played soccer for the University and studied business administration. As a senior, she was selected for a part-time student position at the former Coopers and Lybrand accounting firm (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP "PwC"). She was then offered a position as an accountant upon graduation and has stayed with firm ever since. In July of 2012, she became a partner at PwC.

Over the past two years, she has worked with the School of Business Administration in establishing a partnership between RMU and PwC whereby students are able to participate in PwC's honors program for accounting students. Last year, four RMU accounting students took part. This year, six students will participate. Larry Nieman, dean, reiterated the gratitude of RMU's administration and students for the fabulous experience Ms. Granholm and PwC are affording accounting students. In receiving the award, she offered, "Robert Morris helped me achieve my goals. I am so glad to have the opportunity to give something back."
