The National Geographic Continues to Showcase Thailand’s Natural Beauty
(PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- The National Geographic Society is a highly respected organisation, and it is one of the world’s largest non-profit scientific and educational institutions. Since 1888, the National Geographic has been encouraging people to care about the planet through the promotion of environmental and historical conservation. Consequently, being selected as a subject for one of their photographic exhibitions is a tremendous honour for Thailand.
The exhibition will be held at the National Geographic store in Brompton Road, with the official opening taking place on 5th November, 2013. The photographs will then remain on display until 9th November, which will enable the exhibition to complement this year’s World Travel Market at London’s ExCel Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The exhibition will consist of 24 photographs, all of which have been taken by professional photographers from the National Geographic. Each photograph will depict a scene from one of Thailand’s magnificent beaches and marine parks, and they will also capture the beach activities that take place along the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. In doing so, the National Geographic is helping to promote Thailand as an ideal holiday destination. Indeed, the concept of this year’s exhibition is ‘Where the Sun Always Shines’.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) regularly advertises in the National Geographic, and the magazine has become a valued partner in promoting Thailand’s natural beauty. In fact, this is the fourth consecutive year in which Thailand has been selected as a subject for one of the Society’s exhibitions, and each one has been a great success in displaying Thailand at its best. TAT’s Deputy Governor for International Marketing in Europe, Mrs Juthaporn Rerngronasa said, “Thailand has long been known for its pristine beaches and great weather conditions. Certainly, such imagery plays a major role in triggering the desire to travel, especially when seen against the backdrop of the cold and wet European and UK winters.”
Raising awareness of this type of event is important for Krabi Riviera Co Ltd, particularly in view of the company’s own sterling efforts in contributing to the success of Thailand’s tourism industry in Krabi. The company manages a notable portfolio of holiday villas in the Ao Nang area, and only those properties meeting the highest standards in style and comfort are included in the portfolio. For example, all the villas have an excellent specification, with designer kitchens, luxurious bathrooms and private swimming pools. What’s more, Ao Nang is located on the beautiful Krabi coast, which means that holidaymakers can enjoy the sort of stunning scenery that is being shown in the exhibition.
With Thailand’s rich culture and abundance of natural beauty, this fascinating kingdom is deserving of The National Geographic’s attention, and the exhibition deserves to be another resounding success.
