Joint Music Program of Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges Observes 10th Anniversary of Scripps College Performing Arts Center
Claremont, Calif. (PRWEB) November 08, 2013 -- The Claremont Concert Orchestra, the Claremont Concert Choir and the Claremont Chorale celebrate the 50th anniversary of Garrison Theater and the 10th anniversary of the Scripps College Performing Arts Center by performing Beethoven’s "Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125" at 8 p.m. on Dec. 14 and at 3 p.m. on Dec. 15 in Garrison Theater of the Scripps College Performing Arts Center, 241 E. 10th St. This event is free and open to the public.
Scripps College Assistant Professor of Music David Cubek will prepare the orchestra and lead the performances. Associate Professor of Music Charles W. Kamm and Gregory Norton will prepare the choirs.
At the celebratory opening of the Scripps College Performing Arts Center in 2003, the Joint Music Program of Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, and Scripps interpreted Beethoven’s "Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125." They will again perform the Beethoven classic at this 10-year anniversary event.
