New York, NY & San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 07, 2013 -- Axle today announced WeWIN, its web-based fundraising and crowdfunding tool for schools, charities and foundations. WeWIN.com will be exhibiting in booth 843 at NJEA and invites all teachers and education support personnel to come to the booth and learn how WeWIN was tailored for educators’ fundraising efforts and can be shared via social media and the web. The NJEA Convention is taking place in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, 2013 in the Atlantic City Convention Center.
“The Axle team creates ecommerce solutions for some of the largest retailers and brands in the world,” said Syd Dufton, President & CEO of WeWIN.com, a division of Axle Digital. “Based in New York, we experienced Hurricane Sandy, saw the devastating impact on our children’s schools and sought a way to help get desperately needed supplies back into the schools through the support of the community. Additionally as school budgets continue to shrink, WeWIN can help offset the effects with a simple, fun way to involve the community via social media and the web.”
WeWIN allows school districts to set up “WinLists” of items that are needed in the classrooms as well as in the schools themselves. Schools receive supplies and equipment via WeWIN’s innovative WinLists that are shared by the extended community. The teachers can share these lists via email, web, and social media and schools receive a percentage back from every purchase. Whether a private school, public school or a charter school, WeWIN helps alleviate the burden on teachers to supplement school supplies and school equipment costs out of pocket.
“WeWIN is a unique fundraising tool that will allow us to engage the extended community beyond the realm of immediate family members,” said Angela Boone Mansfield, Founding School Director at ARCH Academy. "We're really excited to extend our fundraising ability so easily onto every social media website and everywhere on the web.”
Working with online retailers, national resellers and local suppliers like Borden’s located in Point Pleasant, New Jersey will enable teachers and schools to choose their supplies and equipment from trusted vendors. WeWIN will include additional merchants as the program rolls out across the country in 2014. Current clients include ARCH Academy, Fosston Public Schools and Northeast College Prep in Minnesota. Projects range from school supplies to equipping new schools from the ground up.
