The partnership and programming between Leadership Under Fire, Inc. and Hope For The Warriors® is innovative and dynamic in combining shared assets and knowledge to ensure success of the transitioning service member or veteran into fire service careers.

Hope For The Warriors® (http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org) proudly partners with Leadership Under Fire with the launch of the Paddy Brown Program to help former service members transition to the fire and rescue service. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.

Leadership Under Fire and Hope For The Warriors® seek to honor the shared bond between the fire service and our nation’s military by affording post-9/11 veterans increased access to employment and professional development opportunities in the fire and rescue service. This program falls directly under the work of the Education & Employment program pillar at Hope For The Warriors®. Aspects of the Paddy Brown Program will include raising awareness about contemporary issues affecting veterans, presenting mental health and employment opportunities available to veterans, and marketing the best human resource management practices in fire departments. There will also be a mentorship component of the Program in which veteran fire service members will help with the ease of employment transition.
