Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA) Joins the Convention Industry Council
Sacramento, California (PRWEB) November 07, 2013 -- Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA), the leading community for senior event marketing professionals and trusted industry partners, today announced it has joined the Convention Industry Council (CIC). CEMA will be supporting and contributing to the CIC’s mission to promote the value of the events marketing industry, nurture meaningful networking opportunities and share information on important topics.
“CEMA is honored to become a member of the CIC, and as new members, excited to complement CIC’s commitment to promoting excellence and collaboration amongst event marketing professionals,” said Kimberley Gishler, executive director of CEMA. “Being an integral part of CIC will allow our members to expand their knowledge base, enjoy additional networking opportunities and more easily obtain continuing education units for their certified meeting professional (CMP) recertification.”
“We are delighted CEMA has joined the CIC, and look forward to uniting with them to advocate for innovation and encourage valuable networking opportunities in the event marketing industry,” said Karen Kotowski, CAE, CMP and Convention Industry Council’s Chief Executive Officer.
As new members of the CIC, CEMA is eager to be an active part of the CIC Council of Delegates and CMP Conclave to ensure the needs of corporate and high tech event marketers are represented in APEX and other industry conversations. CEMA will also be seeking CEU credits for company-sponsored peer-to-peer knowledge sharing programs and the annual conference, CEMA Summit. In the future, CEMA hopes to explore partnering with the CIC on industry benchmark studies and senior leader roundtable activities.
