Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- Radio Flyer Inc., maker of the famous little red wagon and leading producer of wagons, tricycles and three-wheel scooters in the United States, announces its partnership with Edison Nation in an effort to find innovative product concepts for new ride-on toys that will inspire kids to get out and play.
An icon of American childhood since 1917, Radio Flyer continues its legacy of providing high quality, classic and innovative toys that inspire outdoor, active play. Through this public search with Edison Nation, Radio Flyer is looking to find innovative, unique new ride-ons for kids that can be developed, branded and marketed to American households.
Ideas may be submitted through Edison Nation’s secure platform found at http://www.EdisonNation.com/RadioFlyer now through January 6, 2014. Edison Nation will review and analyze each idea submitted to this search. The cost to submit an idea is $25. Following this one-time submission fee, the inventor will incur no future costs of any kind.
The 'Get Out and Play' Invention Challenge comes on the heels of the American Academy of Pediatrics report warning of the health related dangers associated with kids spending too much time online, on cell phones and playing video games.
The most competitive ideas will be presented to Radio Flyer. If an innovation is selected from this search, Edison Nation will reward the inventor an advance on future royalties and will work with the Radio Flyer team to see through the development of the selected idea(s). There is no limit to how many ideas may be selected from this search for development.
"There is a strong presence of compelling TV and digital content in kids’ lives today. We are committed to inspire kids to get out and play by developing fun and long lasting ride-on toys," says Tom Schlegel, Sr. VP of Product Development at Radio Flyer.
Radio Flyer customers, independent inventors, moms & dads, kids & kids at heart are invited to submit their ride-on ideas to this search. The Edison Nation submission process asks for a well-written explanation of the innovation and invites the inventor to upload supporting photography, CAD files, media and/or video. Patents and/or prototypes are not required. The submission process is safe and secure, and it is free to join the Edison Nation inventor community.
