Women For One Speaks with Marianne Williamson, Powerful Leader and Congressional Candidate
(PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- With a bid for California Congressional District 33 on the table, internationally acclaimed author, Marianne Williamson sat down with Kelly McNelis Senegor, Founder of Women For One, to talk about spirituality, authenticity, and her sense of purpose. Her new campaign asks voters to “Create a new” and says that politics should include morals and the heart.
Williamson’s decision to step into the political arena is based on the need to bring more enlightened conversation to matters of policy. Williamson’s transformational politics are a means of challenging the current system and changing the country to fit the health and well being of the planet. She hopes to inspire engagement in a more holistic way – where everyone can embrace a policy that represents them. Williamson’s campaign stands up for women as a whole, and aims to bring women into the political arena and inspire more compassionate governance.
In addition, Williamson talks about attaining inner peace and how to bring more of that peace into our daily lives. She says that acting from strength, and looking past our weaknesses helps us become more authentic. The true, authentic self is the love within us. Reaching towards our inner strength - embracing mercy, looking past our weaknesses - will help enlighten our experiences and create a more compassionate community.
Williamson’s work involves four New York Times #1 bestsellers; Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program serving homebound people with AIDS; The Peace Alliance – supporting legislation to develop a United States Department of Peace; the Results Organization - an organization to end poverty in the United States. In addition Williamson is a primary force behind "Sister Giant" which helps provide women with the tools needed to run for office and become more informed about government and politics. She is also a well known guest on television shows such as Good Morning America, Oprah, Larry King Live, and Charlie Rose.
Her most recent book, The Law of Divine Compensation is a treatise on searching for spiritual substance over monetary lack. That spiritual substance creates abundance within our lives to compensate for any lack we feel in our lives at that time.
Women for One’s mission is to inspire women to take action in their own lives and to share authentic truth that empower others in their community.
