Lymphoma Research Foundation Mobile App Featured on CBS JumboTron in Heart of Times Square
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 08, 2013 -- The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted to funding innovative lymphoma research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services – is pleased to announce that an informational video highlighting its free mobile app, Focus on Lymphoma, will play on CBS’s Times Square JumboTron every hour now through January 4, 2014.
“We are thrilled to have a video highlighting the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s mobile app displayed on the CBS JumboTron right in the heart of Times Square,” said Steven J. Prince, LRF Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Showcasing the unique tools of the Foundation’s mobile app in such a prominent location not only has the power to raise general public awareness for the disease, but also has the benefit of educating a great many people on how to better navigate and manage their lymphoma diagnosis and treatment.”
Focus on Lymphoma is the first app of its kind to deliver multi-media content based on a person’s lymphoma subtype. The app serves as an interactive toolkit, providing an opportunity to save questions, record doctor sessions, and track symptoms, doctors’ appointments and medicines.
“New York has one of the highest lymphoma diagnosis rates in the country,” said Elizabeth Thompson, LRF Chief Executive Officer. “Having information about the Lymphoma Research Foundation's mobile app visible during New York’s most trafficked season of the year will hopefully empower a greater number of people to take control of their health care through the use of the app’s unique tracking tools."
The CBS JumboTron is an iconic video screen in the heart of New York’s world-famous Times Square. Located on 42nd Street between seventh and eighth avenues, the digital billboard is seen by more than 1.5 million passersby daily. The Focus on Lymphoma informational video will run for 30 seconds every hour through January 4, 2014. Focus on Lymphoma is available for download on Apple devices in the Apple App Store and for Android devices on Google Play.
