Car finance experts Car Loan 4U comments on the increase in new car registrations
Macclesfield, Cheshire (PRWEB UK) 7 November 2013 -- New car registrations in the UK have experienced their 20th consecutive month of growth, as they were up by 4% in October 2013 with a total of 157,314 cars sold.
It means the total sales mark for new cars throughout the year is edging closer to two million, as announced by The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) with registrations on 1,952,238 units.
As a result, SMMT have upped their own forecast for new car sales this year from 2.22 million to 2.25 million.
Car Loan 4U Director Ryan Dignan, comments:
“It’s great news that we’ve seen a 20th consecutive month of growth for new car registrations in the UK and that total is now edging ever nearer to the two million mark for this year.
“Hopefully, it will continue to set the benchmark for the remaining two months of the year and hit the revised forecast from the SMMT.
“It’s also no surprise to see that the Ford Fiesta continues to dominate when it comes to individual models. It’s always been a best-seller as proved by over 100,000 sales to date in 2013, as well as the fact it’s sold almost 30,000 more units than its nearest rival in the Ford Focus.”
