Point Judith Capital Portfolio Company, Nexamp, Develops and Completes Rhode Island Rooftop Solar Project Which Is the Largest in New England
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 08, 2013 -- Nexamp, a Massaschusetts-based solar power producer and Point Judith Capital portfolio company, today announced the completion of Rhode Island’s largest rooftop solar array in New England on two buildings in West Davisville, RI. The new 8,500-panel array covers an area the size of three-and-a-half football fields and will generate nearly 3 million kilowatt-hours per year, more than any other rooftop array in New England.
The solar project, developed and built by Nexamp, was constructed atop two former Navy buildings owned by West Davisville Realty Co., LLC in the Quonset Business Park. The array will feed energy directly into National Grid’s distribution network and will generate enough electricity annually to power roughly 500 homes.
