Consumers of savory yogurt will enjoy additional versions of Sohha products not currently available in farmers’ markets or online. Sohha Savory Yogurt will make it easier for more consumers to enjoy healthy meals free of processed food and low in sugar.

Chelsea Market is a premier office and retail location managed by Jamestown Properties. It is located on the corner of 9th Avenue between 15th and 16th streets in Manhattan and includes such tenants as the Food Network, the Oxygen Channel, NY 1 News, Amy’s Bread, Dickson’s Farmstand Meats, Sarabeth’s, the Green Table, and Morimoto.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with Chelsea Market,” said Angela Fout, Sohha’s founder and Chief Operating Officer. “We have the ability to raise our profile with the 23,000 daily visitors of Manhattan residents, workers, and tourists who come to the market. Most importantly, we offer customers a full menu of healthy items made fresh without chemicals or preservatives, and are nutrient rich,” Fout said.

Sohha Savory Yogurt will carry a café style menu with selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Customers will find pre-packaged goods including yogurt, hummus, and baba ghanouj and order yogurt combinations with a variety of savory toppings, such as extra virgin olive oil, nuts, seasonings, and vegetables. For a healthier dessert, Sohha makes an amazing cheesecake from its strained yogurt and has an espresso and dark chocolate topping for yogurt. Finally, there will be drinks made from whey and yogurt.

Sohha Savory Yogurt signature feature is being savory; yogurt doesn’t have to be sweet. The yogurt contains three simple ingredients: milk, cultures, and a pinch of real unprocessed sea salt. Importantly, Sohha will sell jars of toppings with ethnic spices, extra virgin olive oil, nuts, and vegetables. For example, the company will have Everything Bagel, Za’atar Bliss (za’atar and EVOO), Harissa Hot Salsa (tomatoes, coriander, onions and harissa infused EVOO), or Beets Melody (beets, walnuts, and EVOO).

Sohha Savory Yogurt will continue to sell in farmers’ markets and to provide direct delivery in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Sohha’s retail location at Chelsea Market will be for six months and has plans to open more retail locations in New York City. Soon Sohha yogurt will also be for sale in specialty food stores throughout New York City.
