Climb Real Estate Group Gives Back to the Community with Volunteer Work
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 08, 2013 -- San Francisco-based Climb Real Estate Group continued its holiday tradition by giving back to the community in which they live, work, and sell. This innovative residential real estate brokerage makes giving a priority by helping low-income families, children and the elderly through volunteer efforts at the San Francisco Food Bank.
On October 30th, the Climb sales agents and marketing staff spent 3 hours helping pack over 18,000 pounds of tomatoes and kiwis for distribution to the Food Bank’s pantries and nonprofit partners. The healthy, fresh food comes at a time of year when many families have to choose between buying food and paying winter’s higher heating costs.
Since it was the day before Halloween, the volunteers from Climb Real Estate dressed up in costume as zombies or in 80’s fitness attire. In addition to volunteering their time and labor, many Climbers also donated financially, including Todd Adair, who personally donated $1,000 to the Food Bank.
"Volunteering and civic engagement are the cornerstone of our corporate culture,” said Tiffany Combs, Managing Broker at Climb Real Estate Group. “When agents, volunteers, and residents come together, it has a positive and powerful impact on a neighborhood community.”
"The annual Food Bank volunteer event has been very popular at Climb Real Estate Group," said Michelle Balog, Managing Sales Director. "My husband and I were happy to volunteer our time for such a great event that serves the community where our office is located."
The Food Bank depends heavily on volunteer workers like Climb Real Estate Group to feed the hungry in San Francisco and Marin. For more information about the San Francisco Food Bank’s efforts, and how you can volunteer your time or donate to their efforts, visit their website at SFFoodBank.org.
