Selp, a European player recognized for the quality of its secure cards is now expanding internationally.

Created in 1956, Selp has conquered a sizeable marketshare on loyalty and prepaid card segments. The company’s activities on payment and identity market segments were mainly undertaken in a partnership with leading players of the industry.

World leaders confidence has enabled Selp to develop an extensive experience and to gather numerous references for smart card manufacturing and personalization.

This way, the company’s products are already in use in more than 40 countries around the world.

Selp’s new management team will build upon these successes to further advance the company’s exports.

Recently appointed as Selp General Manager, Stephane Guilbault brings his security printing and smart card industry experience. He is assisted by Matthieu Leclerc and Denis Delapellegerie, who both have a long experience with Selp.

“The achievement of sizeable projects with our historical partners demonstrate that our quality and security achievements are up to the standard level required by international markets in most segments,” he added.

Thanks to its experience, the recognized quality of its products and its expertise in project management, Selp is now positioned on export markets.

Selp is present on four market segments:

  •     Loyalty: Selp cards are recognized by two retail brands out of three in France,
  •     Prepaid: reloadable or with a fixed face value, Selp cards are full-fledged payment means,
  •     Payment: Selp, recognized by Visa, MasterCard and GIE Cartes Bancaires certifications, delivers secure banking cards to numerous issuers,
  •     Identity: as a systems integrator, Selp is present on national identity projects: ID cards, driving licenses, healthcare cards, voting cards, military cards, etc.

Selp has produced over 250 million secure cards in 2012 for these four market segments.

Over the last ten years, Selp has also been very present on services associated with card manufacturing. These services include personalization, in which Selp excels with a volume of 80 million secure cards personalized in 2012.

Selp also demonstrates its innovation capacity and has satisfied customer demands for supply management, use of green raw materials, on-demand personalization and fulfillment.

Selp produces secure cards on two industrial sites in France and has received the certifications demonstrating its performance in terms of quality and security.

Based in Mareuil-sur-Belle and Angouleme, the company employs 200 people, an ideal size to ensure the necessary responsiveness and deliver the best service to its customers.

Selp also has a sales office in Paris, France.
