Inventors of Mind Mapping, ThinkBuzan, have collaborated with the visual task management specialists behind DropTask, for a seamless new approach to developing and implementing ideas, in the latest version of their Mind Mapping software, iMindMap 7, released today.
The collaboration is designed to enhance innovative thinking by managing opportunities from conception through to completion in uniquely visual environments.
“The collaboration enables the effortless migration of ideas from iMindMap into fully functioning DropTask projects,” says Darren Rees, DropTask’s Head of Development. “The immersive and intuitive designs of both iMindMap and DropTask allow the user's content to be the focus, so large volumes of information and an abundance of tasks can be managed at a single glance.”
With real-time collaboration, DropTask users are able to invite others to projects for task delegation, updating progress and for visually managing the overall completion of a project. The integration allows iMindMap users to send branches of their Mind Maps directly into DropTask, to take the first steps towards turning their best ideas into tangible tasks.
“The bond between two visually powerful tools marks an overwhelming step forward and improvement in usability,” says ThinkBuzan CEO, Chris Griffiths. “With a focus on an engaging visual experience for users, combined with an emphasis on simplicity, the collaboration allows users to effortlessly explore, develop and implement ideas.”
The visual principles that underpin iMindMap and DropTask are fundamental to how users benefit from the integration.
“Often managing the project management tool becomes a project in itself. DropTask offers a more intuitive way to monitor and manage workloads,” says PC World’s Christina DesMarais. “DropTask is a fresh and uniquely visual way to manage tasks.”
The integration between iMindMap and DropTask is available from today [Thursday, 14th November], with the launch of iMindMap 7. Exporting features will also be made available within DropTask at that time.
