Space Coast Credit Union will be exhibiting at the 43rd Miami International Auto Show, November 8 through 18, 2013, and it plans to award $1000 over ten days in its Twitter contest. The credit union is inviting auto enthusiasts to share their passion for cars on Twitter using #noratebuyups, and each Tweet enters participants for a chance to win $100. There will be one $100 winner per day, during the ten days of the auto show.
“At Space Coast Credit Union, we’re passionate about cars. The auto show is an opportunity for us to be among a community of car lovers, and we want to engage with them on Twitter during the auto show,” said Laura Richard, SCCU’s Vice President of Marketing.
The SCCU Members’ Watchdog mascot will also be at the auto show, raising awareness for the credit union’s philosophy to always protect their members’ financial interests in all aspects of their lives. The Members’ Watchdog puts people before profits, so members trust SCCU to provide auto loans with terms that are clear and transparent. SCCU never engages in rate buy –ups, a common practice among auto lenders whereby they markup the rate a borrower qualifies for based on credit score, typically by one to two percentage points. By refusing to participate in rate buy-ups, SCCU saves members more than $3 million in annual interest on auto loans. Our members are also the Watchdog when they share auto dealer reviews online. You can read which dealers SCCU members recommend at sccu.com.
Auto show attendees can meet the Watchdog mascot at the SCCU booth in the exhibitors section, and while there enter a spotter contest for a chance to win additional cash prizes. To join the Twitter contest, participants need only follow SCCU on Twitter @spacecoastcu and #noratebuyups. Full information regarding the Twitter and spotter contests is available at SCCU.com/autoshow.
