The Little Gym of Friendswood Hosts “Tumble-A-Thon” for Charity
Friendswood, TX (PRWEB) November 11, 2013 -- The Little Gym of Friendswood is hosting their annual Tumble-A-Thon, November 11-16 to raise money for the Gulf Coast Area Special Olympics. The gym and dance studio raised just over $2500 last year for the charity and hope to match that amount.
Karley Holbrook, Director of The Little Gym’s Friendswood location, says, “We’re excited to be hosting our yearly Tumble-A-Thon this year. We have been participating in this event since 2011 and each year it’s humbling to see how our gym can make a small difference for the charities and organizations we work with.”
To raise the money, students can gain pledges per tumble or enter a flat donation in their name. During the Tumble-A-Thon week, each class will finish with two minutes dedicated to tumbling where students can flip their way to raising money.
All donations will go towards sponsoring The Special Olympics Gulf Coast “Polar Plunge.” In addition to the top three donators, instructors from The Little Gym Friendswood will jump into the cold Galveston waters on January 18 to support over 2,000 Special Olympics athletes in Texas.
