Icebreaker Invites Outdoor Enthusiasts to Share First-Time Experiences Through Online Campaign
Wellington, New Zealand. (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- First times can be epic, amazing, scary, funny. They can include the first time hiking, snowboarding, or mountain biking - doing something that connects with nature. First times can also be wearing Icebreaker merino wool and how it makes them feels.
The first time Icebreaker founder Jeremy Moon pulled on a shirt made of light, super-breathable merino wool it was life changing. “It felt beautiful next to my skin. I went biking in it, running in it. I even slept in it. It became part of my life. That was the start of this amazing relationship for me,” said Jeremy Moon, founder and CEO of Icebreaker. “We invite you to tell us about your first time. The first time you wore Icebreaker or the first time you experienced a life-changing event.”
Outdoor enthusiasts can share a photo of their favorite first-time experience or outdoor adventure with a clever caption for a chance to win a trip for two to New Zealand, courtesy of Icebreaker and Air New Zealand. Entries submitted at icebreaker.com/myfirsttime will be accepted until November 22, 2013. Icebreaker fans will be invited to vote on a selection of favorite submitted photos from November 25 to December 3, 2013. The grand prize winner will be selected by Icebreaker on December 4, 2013, from the entries with the most votes.
The winner will receive two roundtrip tickets from San Francisco, Los Angeles or Vancouver to Auckland, New Zealand on Air New Zealand, plus $3000 USD in cash. Travel must occur between May and November 2014, and must be ticketed by February 15, 2014. Only persons who are at least 18 years of age can enter to win. The contest is open to residents of Canada and the United States.
The innovative apparel company has been inviting people to experience the soft, warm feel of merino since it was founded in 1994. Icebreaker's complete line of pure merino wool apparel is all made from handpicked merino wool born in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The Icebreaker apparel system has grown to include underwear, mid layer garments, outerwear, socks and accessories for men, women and kids.
Moon added, “We can’t wait to see what experiences people will share!”
