Jeff Bearden, the co-founder of At Large PR, says, "At Large PR is proud to be a sponsor of Bully Busters 702, their youth basketball program, and assisting in helping to provide jerseys for its players. Bully Busters works hard to keep kids off of the street and prevent bullying. Bully Busters 702 is a non-profit organization that focuses on anti-bullying and getting kids off of the streets. Both issues require greater awareness all over the country; bullying has especially become a greater problem with the rise of social networking and the ability of bullies to contact their targets 24/7. Bully Busters 702 runs Anti-Bullying Workshops every week, working to ensure that all students are able to learn in a healthy and safe environment. In a state in which the graduation rate was the third lowest in the nation, such a resource is invaluable.
Bully Busters 702 is the brainchild of "Big" Keith Bowen, who is very passionate about his program and about helping the kids in Las Vegas. Bowen says, “Thanks to people like At Large PR, we are able to give these kids proper uniforms to wear when they play." The uniforms help provide the youth basketball players a greater sense of team spirit; the involvement in and support of a team is essential in helping at-risk youths stay off the streets. With the help of At Large PR’s donation, Bully Busters 702 hopes to keep kids in school and on track to graduation.
