DJ Transputer Offers a Night of Dutch House Music at the Mill Room in Asheville
Asheville, NC (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- Winner of the 2013 Asheville “Get F*cking Weird” DJ Competition, Transputer, will be kicking it up a notch by headlining at the Mill Room in Asheville on Saturday, November 23 beginning at 9 pm.
This dynamic duo and band of brothers is fast on the rise in the electronic music world. Trained at Dubspot in New York City, Transputer is known for its inventive mash ups of today's biggest sounds, its ear for a bass drop that can be heard states away, and its eclectic approach to many genres from techno and house to trap. Transputer audiences rave of their high intensity sets which demonstrate their mastery of samples and mixing.
In addition to performances in Asheville, Transputer has performed throughout the Eastern US, including appearances in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and in Manhattan, NY.
Having had a resounding victory in the Asheville “Get F*cking Weird” DJ Competition in August 2013, Transputer was ultimately not allowed to perform at the show in August due to age restrictions of the contest. So this performance, also at the Mill Room, comes as a welcomed opportunity for the duo to showcase their talents. “It was disappointing to win a contest and then not be able to receive the ‘prize,’ said David Saffran of Transputer, “but we are focused on building our sound, and we are psyched to play The Mill Room.”
Transputer has deemed this show “A Night of Dutch House,” as their set will include mashups of artists like Afrojack, Fedde Le Grande, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Showtek, Firebeatz, Dyro, Armin van Buuren, W&W, Sander van Doorn, and others.
A Night of Dutch House will be presented at The Mill Room, 66 Asheland Avenue, from 9pm – 1 pm. Ages 15+. Tickets $8, Students: $5. Transputer will be preceded by special guests TBD.
