Specialty Music Retailer to Feature over 200 New Release Titles in Pilot Program with Leading National Grocer

This event gives Whole Foods’ customers a great opportunity to shop for some new popular releases at an affordable price, and give discerning fans a unique opportunity to browse and listen to great music.

Distribution13, a leading specialty music distributor, will be launching a pop-up music store through its PacSounds retail division in partnership with Whole Foods Market in Tustin, CA, on Friday, November 15. The store-within-a-store concept will highlight new audio releases from a variety of genres, as well as a wide range of complementary products, such as headphones and books.

The three-day event will offer great gift-buying opportunities from some of the latest CD and vinyl releases from popular artists such as Paul McCartney, Arcade Fire, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Lorde, as well as releases from such top Blues and Jazz acts as Gregory Porter, Trombone Shorty, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Harry Connick, Jr., and Robert Glasper. The store will also carry new box sets from Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Bob Dylan and the Beach Boys, and new books on Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, Graham Nash, Robert Plant, the Kinks, and more. In all, the store will carry over 200 unique titles from the rock/pop, holiday, blues, world, R&B, country, and new age genres.

The weekend will be kicked off with a holiday wine tasting event from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hangar Bar, and will feature an in-store performance by the Tony Guerrero Trio. Whole Foods Market is located at the District in Tustin (corner of Jamboree and Barranca) at 2847 Park Avenue, Tustin, CA 92782.

“We think this is a great way to start the holiday shopping season,” says Candice Shearman, Marketing Supervisor of Whole Foods in Tustin. “We’ll have some fantastic new holiday wines to try along side some delicious nibbles from our Specialty Department and Bakery at our event on Friday night. Plus we have a great music experience for our shoppers throughout the entire weekend. We think this is a wonderful opportunity to pick up some great new music and explore what PacSounds has to offer.”
