Royalmont Academy High School Announces Dual Enrollment Agreement with Local College
Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- Royalmont Academy today announced that an agreement has been signed between the new high school program and the College of Mount St. Joseph that will allow students to receive both high school and college credit for courses taken at the new high school.
The agreement, which was facilitated through a partnership with the Warren County Educational Service Center provides for Royalmont students to be enrolled at both the high school and concurrently at the College of Mt. Saint Joseph, earning both high school (Carnegie) credits and college credits.
“We are very pleased and excited about this new relationship,” commented Royalmont Academy Executive Director, Mr. Tony Ferraro. “We had been seeking a partner in assisting us in fulfilling our vision of providing our students the opportunity to gain both high school and college credit as part of our core curriculum.”
A key element to the success of the high school start-up is the ability to offer a unique experience according to school officials. “The flexibility we have in creating a new program helps us add value for families. Earning college credit as part of our core high school program is just another way we add value for our families. We envision eventually all of our graduates leaving Royalmont Prep with almost a full year of college credit.”
The partnership between the new high school and the college involves collaboration in developing courses to meet the requirements of both institutions as well professional development and guidance for faculty. “We look forward to the partnership,” commented Maggie Davis, Associate Academic Dean for the College of Mount St. Joseph. Additionally, Dr. George Sehi, Executive Director for University Relations for the Warren County Educational Service Center added, “I appreciate everyone’s support and commitment to making this happen.”
