Simon Riveles a Panelist at the Hedge Fund Association’s Student Symposium at Seton Hall
New York, New York (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- The Hedge Fund Association (“HFA”), an international non-for-profit organization made up of hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, family offices, high net worth individuals, and service providers, is sponsoring the HFA Inaugural Student Symposium at Seton Hall on Wednesday, November 20th entitled, How to Find Your Fortune Without Losing Your Soul.
The Symposium, which will run from 7:30pm-9:30pm, will be a unique opportunity for those interested in learning more about the hedge fund industry and the wide array of exciting job opportunities the industry offers in research and analysis, portfolio management, marketing, administration, compliance, and law.
The night will begin with a presentation by renowned founder and co-managing partner of SkyBridge Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, who will discuss his book, Goodbye Gordon Gekko: How to Find Your Fortune Without Losing Your Soul.
The presentation will be followed by a diverse panel of hedge fund experts who will offer their insights on how to succeed in the hedge fund industry. The panel will be moderated by Keith Novick, senior consultant at MJK Consulting Inc., and will include: Simon Riveles, principal of Riveles Law Group, Ezra Zask, President of SFC Associates; and Evan H. Katz, Managing Director at Crawford Ventures, Inc. The following is a brief description of the Symposium’s speakers:
Anthony Scaramucci is founder and co-managing partner of SkyBridge Capital, a global alternative investment firm with approximately $8.6 billion in assets under management and advisory as of August 31, 2013. Founded in 2005, SkyBridge serves a wide range of market participants through its investment portfolio comprised of multi-strategy fund of hedge fund products, customized separate account portfolios, and hedge fund advisory services. The firm also produces a large, annual investment conference in the U.S. and Asia known as the SkyBridge Alternatives (“SALT”) Conference.
Simon Riveles is the principal of Riveles Law Group. The firm specializes in structuring and advising hedge and private equity funds, both on and offshore. The firm works with managers pursuing the gamut of investment strategies including equities, options, futures, forex, real estate, and credit. We also assists investment advisers, commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisers, future commission merchants and retail foreign exchange dealers in all aspects of registration with regulatory authorities at the state, SEC and CFTC levels. The firm counsels clients on all aspects of the changing regulatory landscape affecting private funds and their managers. Simon is an honors graduate of the University of Connecticut Law School.
Keith Novick is a senior consultant for MJK Consulting. He has worked with funds on fund marketing and formation, investment opportunity analysis, due diligence, compliance, and capital introductions. He also works with clients on business plan development, business development, and strategic partnerships.
Ezra Zask is a Founding Member of the Hedge Fund Due Diligence Exchange (HFDDX), a newly formed company offering a unique format for delivering due diligences. He is also Founder and President of SFC Associates, LLC, which offers consulting services and litigation support in securities cases.
Evan Katz is Managing Director of Crawford Ventures, Inc., an alternative asset investment firm that forms, grows, holds interests in, and raises very substantial investor capital for, compelling hedge funds and private equity funds.
The Symposium will be open to Seton Hall students, HFA members, and select members of the media.
