Columbus, OH (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- EWI, the North American leader in advance materials joining and allied technologies, announces two new members to its Board of Directors, Sundaram (Naga) Nagarajan of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) and Dave Williams of The Ohio State University (OSU).
Since 2010, Nagarajan has been Executive Vice President for the ITW Welding Group and is responsible for the company’s worldwide welding and cutting businesses. Nagarajan began his career at Hobart Brothers in 1991. After various roles of increasing responsibility, he was promoted to Hobart’s Group Vice President for Welding in 2006 and Group President for Welding International in 2008. Nagarajan is a member of the American Welding Society and been active in several foundations including Y.O.U. Evanston, a non-profit organization focused on youth development in the Chicago area. He holds advanced degrees from Wright State University in Dayton and Auburn University in Alabama.
Williams is Dean of the OSU College of Engineering. He is responsible for setting strategic vision and goals, administering 1,200 faculty, researchers, and staff, and overseeing the education of more the 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students. From 2007 to 2011, he served as the President of the University of Alabama, Huntsville. Prior to 2007, Williams spent 31 years at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, as a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering. He directed Lehigh’s Electron Microscope Lab and the Microscopy School from 1980-88. A native of Leeds, England, Williams received his degrees from the University of Cambridge.
