There are so few days left anymore where we can simply enjoy our families and friends. We want to be able to do this and give all of our employees the same opportunity to do this on Thanksgiving.

Local family-owned business, Comfort One Shoes is taking a stand and announcing it will not be joining Kohl’s Department Stores, Macy’s, JC Penney and other big box retailers by opening doors on Thanksgiving.
"Our family-owned business feels strongly that Thanksgiving is a special day to give thanks for all that we have and to celebrate it with our families and friends," said Maurice Breton, owner of Comfort One Shoes.
"There are many small business owners out there who feel strongly as we do. There are so few days left anymore where we can simply enjoy our families and friends. We want to be able to do this and give all of our employees the same opportunity to do this on Thanksgiving while providing our customers with the exceptional service they’ve come to expect from Comfort One Shoes on Black Friday. We’re taking a stand here, and putting our family and our employee’s families first while still ensuring our commitment to our customers."
Beginning Tuesday, November 19th – Saturday, November 30th Comfort One Shoes will be hosting a Food Drive to support the local Capital Area Food Bank. For each non-perishable food item customers bring into store, those customers will receive $10 off their purchase of $100 or more.
On Black Friday, all eighteen stores as well as the Mephisto stores will open doors at 10am on Black Friday for anyone looking for a great pair of shoes. This year, Black Friday will kick-off the largest Clearance Event in history. Customers can expect savings up to 65% off. Styles and sizes are limited.
