Computer Systems Institute to Hold Financial Literacy Workshops at Elgin and Gurnee Campuses
Skokie, IL (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- Computer Systems Institute (CSI), headquartered in Skokie, Illinois, announced today two upcoming Financial Literacy Program workshops designed to help students learn effective strategies on handling financial obligations, among other money related issues. The first of the two programs will be at CSI’s Elgin, Ill campus on Thursday, November 14th, 2013, with two sessions being held, one at 12 pm and a second at 6 pm, both in Lab C. The second workshop will be held at the Gurnee campus on Thursday, November 21st in the Orientation Room, also at 12 pm and 6 pm.
Known for their commitment in helping individuals learn life-enhancing skills, the CSI Financial Literacy Program serves as one more example of preparing young people for self-sufficiency. The program will address such issues as handling the scope of one’s financial obligations both in the short and long term, including day-to-day living expenses, meeting credit card bill obligations and, later, repaying student loans, all in an effort to reach their financial goals as adults.
Additional skills presented in CSI’s monthly Financial Literacy Program include managing credit, general money management, strategies on how to prevent identity theft, credit repair, and a wide range of issues related to financial aid. Further, each workshop is designed to aid professionals in developing, implementing, and improving financial literacy initiatives throughout their lives.
Students attending the Financial Literacy Program will have an opportunity to gauge how they are performing in their individual program, as well as within each department, through surveys conducted on each campus’s workshop. The program will facilitate a robust Q and A session, giving students the ability to seek guidance unique to their unique financial situation, along with receiving CSI Bucks that can be used to purchase bookstore products upon answering questions throughout the day.
