Kirkman® to Serve as Vendor at “The Autistic Brain” Talk Nov. 14
Reno, NV (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- Kirkman®, specialists in nutraceuticals for individuals with sensitivities and special dietary requirements, will be a vendor at a presentation by Dr. Temple Grandin in Reno, Nev. on Nov. 14. Dr. Grandin will be discussing her new book, “The Autistic Brain,” starting at 7 p.m., at the Atlantis Resort Casino.
Dr. Grandin, whose life with autism was chronicled in a popular television movie, became one of the top scientists in the humane livestock handling industry.

The presentation will be hosted by the Autism Coalition of Nevada (ACON) and the U.C. Davis Mind Institute and will also feature a presentation by representatives of the institute on the critical need for brain tissue research and a new program they have created to ensure the advancement of autism research worldwide.
Tickets are available by calling ACON at 775-329-2268 and will be available at the door. The cost is $10 for parents, relatives and students and $20 for professionals and general admission. Kirkman’s booth will be open to participants starting at 5 p.m.
