We've had a nice steady and strong reception, it's been a nice start!, said the owner.

In a restaurant-full city like Washington, DC, it is not only important to have a diverse and tasteful menu, but to also have a tasteful interior and exterior design. Collaboration was key between the owner and the franchise organization in New York. Both the real estate and operational expectations of the brand needed to be resolved in this tiny row house.
With the help of John Fetty and Associates, LLC (JF+A), Sophie's Cuban Cuisine of Washington DC is now able to spread a little taste of the flavors of Havana with this newly designed restaurant. Even though the classic row house posed some challenges, "we squeezed an awful lot into a small space," said the owner.
The new restaurant design looks to capture the fun and fast-pace nature of a Cuban neighborhood restaurant with authentic tasty food made fresh all day from the highest quality ingredients. JF+A pulled in a restaurant expert and engaged the owners family in the design, which included new banquet seating, stand up bar areas and a newly designed kitchen. The Havana-inspired restaurant was able to bring a sense of culture to the diverse city of Washington.
With the help and design of John Fetty, Sophie's is able to satisfy their goals of providing the guests with an enjoyable and consistent experience with each and every meal. More soon!
