Super Bowl Symposium with The Living Heart Foundation to Be Launched at The Sleep Apnea Event with Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine and Pro Player Health Alliance
Long Island, NY (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- This year's Super Bowl Symposium will be kick-started at the upcoming sleep apnea awareness event in Long Island December 5, 2013. Pro Player Health Alliance (PPHA) will be working with the Living Heart Foundation (LHF) and Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine to screen players and host a free public educational event that same evening. Before the event, players will be screened and data will be collected for the (LHF) NFL HOPE Program study, founded by Dr. Archie Roberts.
Dr. Roberts has dedicated much of his time towards the retired NFL players, in an attempt to create a much greater “Sleep Apnea Awareness” with great focus to address this vulnerable population. The players group has been most responsive, as they take note of the effects that are facing each of them personally.
Also, Pro Player Health Alliance has been on a hard campaign to reach out to American Legion Posts in the Long Island area. For Veteran's Day, they showed gratitude by attending the first annual Valley Stream Veteran's Day event helped organized by American Legion Post 854's very own Jay Hunter. Mr. Hunter invited PPHA out to what was a successful event and hopes to get not only individuals who wore a helmet for football, but those who wore a helmet serving the U.S. treated for sleep apnea as well. Jay says he expects a large showing from post 854.
O.J. Anderson, in addition to Derek Kennard, will be the second Super Bowl Champion attending the event. Dr. Seltzer and Dr. Rein, due to their many years of experience and practicing in New York, have been trusted by O.J. Anderson to screen/treat him for his sleep apnea prior to the event.
