Computer Design and Integration (CDI LLC) announced today that the firm is now authorized to represent networking and converged infrastructure technologies from Cisco Systems through the WSCA-NASPO Cooperative Purchasing Organization (WSCA-NASPO). CDI was previously authorized to represent Cisco technologies in K-12 accounts across New Jersey; the new authorization means it can now support higher education and state agencies.
The new Cisco designation greatly expands the types of IT solutions CDI can offer across New Jersey for wireless networking, unified communications, converged data centers and cloud infrastructure services. It recognizes CDI’s technical and resource investments, and a strategic business plan to better serve state and local agencies, and education accounts including K-12 schools, colleges and universities. Collectively, these entities make up what is known as the SLED sector.
“CDI differentiates itself in the SLED sector by providing a depth of experience in converged infrastructure, a technology previously reserved for enterprise businesses that is now available to the likes of smaller organizations,” said Eric Bakker, CDI president & founder. “The state is under pressure to do more with less, and CDI is uniquely positioned to provide solutions to accomplish this.”
Currently CDI provides EMC Corporation product offerings under WSCA-NASPO; a program which enables governments and schools across all 50 U.S. states, as well as the District of Columbia and the five organized U.S. territories, to purchase information technology and services under cooperative contracts. The process of being selected as a solution provider under the program is highly selective.
CDI’s skillset in the design, integration and support of data center infrastructure solutions is informed by strategic alliances and partnerships with Cisco Systems, EMC, VMware, Hewlett- Packard, IBM, and VCE. Their fast-growing public sector practice builds on more than two decades of consulting engagements, deep technology skills and outsourcing experience in complex data center solutions and managed services.
