Reston, VA (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- Today, Novitas Group President & CEO Chris Taylor announced that Mr. David Rensin has joined the company as Senior Vice President for Products. Dave will lead Novitas Analytics’ product strategy and development as the company continues to bring its capabilities to government, business partners, and international organizations.
Dave joins Novitas from Amazon Web Services, where he has been working to bring public cloud infrastructure to the U.S. Intelligence Community. A seasoned entrepreneur and corporate leader, in 2013 Amazon Web Services named Dave “Most Valuable Amazonian” for the worldwide public sector.
“I’m excited to join the Novitas team and believe they are on the cutting edge of analytics and technology development. The VetConnector technology platform is a game changer for our military veterans and companies seeking to hire them,” said Rensin.
“Over the next five years, 250,000 to 500,000 veterans per year will be transitioning from the military to the private sector workforce. It is a national imperative that we leverage technology to avoid a veteran unemployment crisis over the next decade. Dave is critical to that mission,” said Taylor.
Yesterday, Taylor appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to highlight the veteran unemployment problem and how VetConnector’s technology offers solutions to veterans and businesses. Video of the segment can be accessed at:

Rensin has 15 patents to his name and has written four books on various computer science topics. He served on the advisory council of the U.S. Commerce Department, and is a current board member at the Center for Game Design at George Mason University.
