WorldRemit Partners With the Philippine Red Cross to Support Emergency Relief to Victims of Typhoon Haiyan
London (PRWEB UK) 12 November 2013 -- WorldRemit has partnered with the Philippine Red Cross to support relief efforts in the wake of the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), and will be waiving fees for all donations.
Those wishing to make donations to help the millions affected by the typhoon will be able to transfer money directly to the Philippine Red Cross online from any of WorldRemit’s send countries. Donations can be as little as $1 and WorldRemit will waive all fees for any donation sent to the Philippine Red Cross’s bank account. Payments will be credited instantly to the emergency fund set up by the charity, which is providing essential humanitarian relief to the regions affected.
"We want to do all we can to help those affected by the typhoon," comments WorldRemit’s CEO, Dr Ismail Ahmed. “Money from abroad is critical at a time like this, and it’s important that 100 per cent of the funds go directly to the people who need it most.”
