Market Buffet & Grill Donates Holiday Party to Seasons Centre for Grieving Children
Barrie, Ontario (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- The Market Buffet & Grill is a huge community supporter giving thousands of dollars each year to local, family and community focused charities since 2005.
This holiday season, they have chosen to partner with Seasons Centre for Grieving Children to provide some great comfort food for volunteers, children and their caregivers as well as a free night of gaming at Retro Planet for all centre participants.
"We wanted to do what we do best; comfort food and family atmosphere," said owner of MB&G, Jamie Martin. "Perhaps it will also give a positive family experience to a few kids who need a little extra cheer this year."
Seasons Centre was established in 1995 and provides support and programs for children who are grieving the loss or terminal illness of an immediate family member. "This is the first time we have had a donation of this size and includes our many devoted volunteers," said Joan Kennedy, Managing Director. "We are excited to tell them and our kids about it."
The Centre receives no government funding and relies solely on the generosity of the community, foundations, service clubs, organizations and individual donations.
Customers of Market Buffet & Grill can participate in the good cheer, by making a $1 donation to the Seasons Centre at the restaurant during the week of November 18 through 24.
"Every dollar donated at cash goes straight to the charity in providing support and programs for children and family members who may be missing a loved one this holiday season."
