SSI Donates $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity
Shelton, Conn. (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- SSI today announced a donation of $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help the people of the Philippines rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the massively destructive typhoon which hit the country recently.
SSI employees based in the Philippines report housing is in urgent need. As a result, SSI chose Habitat for Humanity as the charity to support given its ability to provide direct relief to the region. The charity has had a strong presence in the Philippines since 1998.
“SSI has many employees in the Philippines with a majority living in the Cebu area. A number of our colleagues are without homes today due to the disaster,” said Mary Rusterholz, SSI chief human resources officer. “Habitat for Humanity, with the help of this donation plus that of other individuals and businesses, will help the people of the Philippines rebuild their communities.”
The company will provide updates on the progress of Habitat’s work in the region via SSI’s website, http://www.surveysampling.com, Facebook, Twitter and other social media networks.
