The opportunity to welcome the group to Houston with a social media effort focused on the industry couldn’t be ignored.

Excargo Services has joined forces with the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) in a collaborative social media effort designed to promote the IANA Intermodal Expo and educate readers about Houston’s intermodal industry. This is the first time the City of Houston has hosted the event and the social media effort serves as a resource to the nearly 2,000 visitors the Expo is expected to bring on November 17 – 19 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

"We decided to support IANA with this social media effort because it was a great way to increase awareness of the event by focusing on the current climate of our industry both nationally, and here in Houston," said Ashley Reynal, Excargo Services Sales and Marketing Specialist. "Houston’s intermodal growth is garnering international attention and we wanted to highlight that for the City’s visitors."

The Port of Houston is one of the world’s busiest ports, ranking first in the United States in terms of foreign tonnage, and second in the United States in terms of overall tonnage. Furthermore, the city is a logistics powerhouse, with growth statistics that paint a positive picture of the regional transportation industry and its potential for expansion.

"The common thread is that our economy is booming, and we’ve hit the top ranks of being the number-one port for imports," said Reynal. "At the same time, billions of dollars are being invested along the coast, which means an influx of many large, multinational corporations who will bring their transportation needs with them."

"Excargo Services has long been involved in IANA as an association member, so the opportunity to welcome the group to Houston with a social media effort focused on the industry couldn’t be ignored," said Excargo President, Marcia Faschingbauer.

"IANA’S inaugural Houston convention brings all of the intermodal players to our city just when our economy, port, and rail networks are expanding and primed for growth," said Faschingbauer. "We’re glad to help IANA put the spotlight on Houston’s intermodal prowess."

Excargo Services will be attending and exhibiting at the Intermodal Expo on Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19, providing Expo attendees with intermodal resources, giveaways, and access to a wealth of knowledge from their experienced team. Excargo Services can be found at Booth 1307 in the George R. Brown Convention Center.
