Somewhere Over the Rainbow LLC: A Time for Thanksgiving "Because They Lived" Indiegogo Campaign
Manchester, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- Pregnancy and Infant Loss affects 1 in 4 pregnant women. Startling, right? Watching each mother-to-be naively glow with the hope and the promise of a newborn child to cradle in their arms just 9 short months away…and then the cradle falls. All of those dreams come crashing down with it.
The grief of the loss is a grueling process. Each rides the waves differently. Each circumstance is unique. Each child, a masterpiece, created in the womb. Each mother, a heart full of questions and a despair in her soul. Each father, unsure of what to do, who to comfort, how to heal himself as he is often left behind. Each sibling, what do they understand and know? How much is real for them and how can they cope? How can a family cope from such a tragic loss?
Thanksgiving is often a time to reflect back on the year and to remember the things one is thankful for. Unfortunately, tragedy can strike any family, any person, at any given time. How does one remember those they have lost? How does one say "I'm thankful" when they have lost their baby?
Somewhere Over the Rainbow LLC was created from such tragic loss. It is a charitable business that sells both items of remembrance and hope, using proceeds from remembrance items to gift families on similar grief journeys. Recently it has launched an Indiegogo Campaign for their recently published book, "Because They Lived." By contributing to the cause supporters are helping to spread awareness on the taboo topic of Pregnancy and Infant Loss as well as helping each family to realize and achieve their individual goals in honoring the memory of their child(ren) through memory box programs, book donations and more.
"The compilation of the book and the creation of the video were heart-wrenching and beautiful at the same time. I am thankful for every family that poured their hearts out in a story to benefit others affected by Pregnancy and Infant Loss. We have dreams. We have goals. We need your help," stated Katy Larsen of Somewhere Over the Rainbow LLC.
There are many beautiful causes that will be supported through the proceeds of the book and the outcome of this campaign including, but not limited to, Granting Hope Ministries, Mikayla's Grace Inc., Sufficient Grace Ministries, Xavier's Ashes, Aidan's Angels Inc. and Somewhere Over the Rainbow LLC.
"We ask, especially at this time of year, for your support and generosity to help us reach our goals as shown in the pitch video. Pregnancy and Infant Loss is often swept to the side in our society because people just don't like death. People don't know what to say when you lose your baby. Providing comfort and education is essential to these families," Katy said.
Perks offered from the campaign include recognition on the book's blog, T-shirts, copies of the book and mentions in a Press Release that will be delivered to over 3,000 media outlets at the campaign's end. By investing in "Because They Lived" and its many causes, one is literally and TRULY changing the world, breaking the silence, supporting families and helping recognize the many little lives that are gone too soon every day across the world.
"The last page of the book also has a link to the book's blog printed in it to offer continued support and to allow others to share their own story as an extension. Also within it's pages lies a journal section for those who choose to privately include the life of their baby and their own personal story. It is just such a valuable resource in a community that strives to support each other and honor each baby."
