WhiteSpace Alliance™ Welcomes Carlson Wireless as Newest Member
Chelmsford, MA (PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- The WhiteSpace Alliance (WSA) ™, a global industry organization enabling sharing of underutilized spectrum, today announced that Carlson Wireless Technologies has joined the organization.
Carlson Wireless is an established global leader of high performance TV White Space technology. The company has commercial deployments of its RuralConnect ™ TV whitespace product in multiple countries around the world. “We now have over 1000 units in the field, in dozens of countries world-wide. We’re excited to join the WhiteSpace Alliance and to bring the technological and field expertise we’ve developed over the last four years,” said Jim Carlson, Founder and CEO.
Carlson’s membership in the WhiteSpace Alliance reflects the company’s increasing involvement in utilizing available television channels to deliver low-cost, reliable broadband Internet service to rural and remote areas.
