B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group Hires New Area Director of Sales for Arlington Region
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group has hired a new Area Director of Sales for their Arlington, VA Hotels, Cheryl Gordon. A veteran of 25 years in the hospitality industry, Cheryl will be responsible for the top-line revenue generation at both the Holiday Inn National Airport and the Crowne Plaza National Airport hotels.
Ms. Gordon began her distinguished career as Convention Service Coordinator at Bally’s Park Place in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1988. Since then, she has attained many different sales positions, including National Sales Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of National Government Accounts, and Regional Director of Sales at prestigious brands such as Extended Stay Hotels, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, Trump Real Estate Company, Radisson Hotels, Doubletree by Hilton Hotels, and Choice Hotels. Cheryl’s career path has also allowed her to live for extended periods of time in diverse places like Las Vegas, Nevada, Newark and Fairfield, New Jersey, and Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Miami, Florida.
Cheryl also has won many significant awards, such as Sales Person of the Year in 2006 and 2007 when she was Regional Director of Sales with Extended Stay Hotels and covered 18 hotels in the South Florida Region.
“We are thrilled to bring in such a seasoned and successful hotelier to lead some of our most important hotels,” says Cathy Bokman, Vice President of Sales for B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group. “Cheryl is a true pro and we look forward to her leading our sales team in Crystal City to great success in 2014 and beyond.”
As a resident of Arlington, Virginia, Cheryl has intimate working knowledge of the surrounding area, easing her transition to her new company and allowing her to bring her local expertise to her new position. The Crystal City region of Arlington, where both properties are located, is situated only minutes from downtown Washington D.C., the Pentagon, and Ronald Reagan National Airport.
Both the Crowne Plaza National Airport and Holiday Inn National Airport hotels are full service properties, offering fine dining, ample meeting spaces, and the ability to host weddings and receptions. These properties are always full of activity, considering their location and wide range of amenities, and are two of the most highly regarded hotels in the area. They will require someone with vast experience in the hotel industry as well as local knowledge to effectively manage them, and Cheryl Gordon fits the bill.
When she is not working, Ms. Gordon loves to spend time with family and friends. “I live in Arlington, Virginia with my best friend, Bentley, a four-year-old Yorkshire Terrier,” she says. “I have two grown children that also live in the area, and two grandchildren. I enjoy pilates, yoga, cooking, and trying new restaurants in my spare time.”
