Local Tampa Bay Taxi and Limo Companies Unite to Raise Awareness
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- A not-for-profit group of privately owned taxi and limousine companies in Tampa Bay has formed a joint marketing, public service and advocacy coalition called the Tampa Bay Taxicab and Limousine Coalition (TBTLC). The Coalition is made up of approximately thirty service providers in the Tampa Bay area including taxicab, limousine, luxury taxicabs and van service companies.
The Coalition’s goals are to increase awareness of the existing variety of high quality and safe rides and technology available to residents and visitors to Tampa Bay, to prevent drunk driving and support regulation to ensure a level playing field in the market.
"This coalition exists not only as a meeting of the minds, but as a way for local companies to work together towards the common goal of delivering high quality and regulated service in Tampa Bay," said Fassil Gabremariam, Chairman of the Tampa Bay Taxicab and Limousine Coalition.
Brook Negusei, owner and CEO of Cab Plus is president of the Tampa Bay Taxicab and Limousine Coalition. "Collaboration is our main focus. We are competitors, but we are also all small business owners and want to work as a team to connect with our community and promote the safe, reliable transportation we collectively provide to hundreds of people in this region on a daily basis."
Several companies have also evolved this past year to provide modern technology and more efficient ways for riders to book vehicles. Innovative mobile apps, such as RideCommand, are making it easy to request a car at your fingertips.
