The event, held October 16 – 18 at McCormick Place in Chicago, drew nearly 5,000 attendees from 48 states and 29 countries. Over 280 companies participated in the event as exhibitors. Participants from Qatar, Japan, and Australia were part of a segment that increased 26 percent over the 2012 event. International exhibitor participation grew 10 percent, with participants from countries such as Australia, Belgium, and Germany, among others.
Hanley Wood also announced that the 2014 Remodeling Show & DeckExpo will rebrand and join forces with its sister event, JLC LIVE (Journal of Light Construction), to offer one joint event that will leverage the cult-like following of the JLC LIVE brand. Jayne Dalton, Director of the Remodeling Show & DeckExpo, noted that “the revamped Remodeling Show & DeckExpo, co-located with JLC LIVE, will offer even more accredited education, live clinics and demonstrations. Product manufacturers will have an expanded audience of buyers, including the many builders who flock to the JLC LIVE events.”
The 2014 co-located events will take place in October 22-24 in Baltimore. Conference sessions will begin October 22, while the exhibits will open October 23. Nearly one-third of the space for the 2014 Remodeling Show and DeckExpo was booked prior to the end of the 2013 event.
