Scott “Intake” Kartvedt will bring energy, innovation, and Flawless Execution to the annual Fabtech Expo in Chicago next week. As a consultant for the veteran-owned-and-operated leadership development and management consulting firm, Afterburner Inc., Kartvedt’s keynote will introduce military-proven techniques and processes to the manufacturing industry via the firm’s nationally acclaimed continuous improvement process, Flawless ExecutionSM.
As one of the sponsoring organizations of Fabtech 2013, SME is hosting a raffle for one of Afterburner’s unique team building programs, the Afterburner Day. This half-day seminar begins with an overview of the Flawless Execution methodology, then allows attendees a unique adult experiential learning module with an interactive teambuilding exercise. The Mission Planning Exercise is designed to remove teams from their comfort zone by placing them under circumstances where thorough communication, collaborative planning, and a "team-first" posture are all essential to mission success.
Following the keynote, Kartvedt will host a book signing and meet & greet at the Afterburner Exhibit Booth #N1102. Before flying as the Opposing Solo #6 and Lead Solo Pilot #5 during the 2001-2002 show seasons, Kartvedt served as the Navy's first Commanding Officer of the only F-35C Stealth Strike Fighter Squadron in the US inventory; Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO ONE based in Eglin AFB, Florida. Scott is a graduate of Pepperdine University, the US Navy and Marine Corp School of Aviation Safety, Air Command and Staff College and the Joint Forces Staff College, and now shares his proven executive leadership and risk management experience with Afterburner clients across all industries.
“Whether your company is establishing equipment operational centerlines or simply improving manufacturing efficiencies, Flawless ExecutionSM is the perfect business process model to improve operational execution,” states Kartvedt. “Afterburner has worked with global manufacturing leaders to help improve their future execution by accelerating their employees experience with our business process cycle.”
During Fabtech 2013, Afterburner will accept pre-orders for its upcoming book, Courage to Execute. Written by Afterburner founder & CEO, James D. Murphy, Courage to Execute is the sixth book based on Afterburner’s Flawless Execution model. All pre-orders made during Fabtech 2013 will receive a special show discount.
