OJ Anderson and Bart Oates Confirm Attending Sleep Apnea Awareness Event Hosted by Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine and Pro Player Health Alliance
Long Island, New York (PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- Confirmed today, OJ Anderson and Bart Oates will be attending the upcoming sleep apnea awareness event December 5, 2013. OJ is being treated by Dr. Rein and Dr. Seltzer of Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine this week, two of the best dentists in the country. This event will also be the time and location set to launch the Living Heart Foundation's NFL HOPE Program and the Super Bowl Symposium. Dr. Rein and Seltzer are going to provide dental and sleep apnea exams in the screening at the event to an estimated 20-30 former players.
David Gergen, President of Pro Player Health Alliance, and Bart Oates share the same vision of overall wellness and preventive/noninvasive treatments for the former players and is excited to get players screened with the NFL HOPE Program. The three time Super Bowl Champion, Bart Oates, has mentioned his goal to provide as much help for retired players as possible and is excited to support Pro Player Health Alliance and Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine in reaching that same goal.
OJ Anderson, Roy Green and Derek Kennard in addition to Bart Oates will be the featured athletes at the event. OJ Anderson is the Cardinals all time leading rusher, two time Super Bowl Champion and one time Super Bowl MVP. This free public event is set to be the largest Pro Player Health Alliance Event to date.

About David Gergen
David Gergen, CDT and President of Pro Player Health Alliance, has been a nationally respected dental lab technician for over 25 years. He received the award for “The Finest Orthodontic Technician in the Country” given by Columbus Dental in 1986. He also has been appointed chair of the dental wing of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy a national interdisciplinary academy dedicated to sleep training and education with over 60,000 members. He has worked for some of the pioneers in the orthodontic and sleep dentistry fields. One of his proudest achievements is receiving The National Leadership award for Arizona Small Businessman of the Year in 2004.
About Dr. Rein
Dr. Jeffrey S. Rein received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1982. Dr. Rein also continued his academic affiliations and served on the faculty at New York University College of Dentistry in both the Katherine S. Milbank Special Patient Care Clinic and the Department of Oral Medicine. He has served as a distinguished committee member in the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. As a member, he actively worked to develop Insurance Reimbursement Guidelines and contributes to manuals used by dental professionals across the nation. With 20 years of clinical experience in Oral Appliance therapy, his expertise has enabled him to help hundreds of patients over the years.
About Dr. Seltzer
Dr. Neal Seltzer received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1982. He is one of the first dentists in the NYC area to treat patients with obstructive sleep apnea & snoring with oral appliances. He has served as a consultant for several area hospital based sleep centers and dozens of private sleep centers over the past 20 years. Utilizing state of the art technology and experience, he is dedicated to helping patients breath better at night and improve their overall quality of sleep.
