The CSM training by Lonnie Weaver-Johnson in Raleigh,NC, is intended for anyone who wishes to become a Scrum Alliance certified Product Owner. This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to understand the basics of Scrum. Attendees need not have any prior exposure to Agile or Scrum, however any experience with project development or project management would be helpful. All CSM classes are conducted by Certified Scrum Trainers (CST). To become a CSM, attendees need to attend a two-day session by a CST.
This course is ideal for any person who is interested in learning more about Scrum or wants to make Scrum work better for their team or organization. While the focus of the class is for people who want to learn how to leverage the Scrum framework to bring about change, any member of the organization who is interested in using Scrum would find this class useful. Typical attendees in the past have been functional managers, team leads, analysts, architects, engineers, software developers, directors, testers and other roles that support product development.
An important aim of this course is to leverage the wide-ranging knowledge and experience of the participants, so a significant amount of this course will be spent in peer-to-peer interactions, hands-on activities and drawing connections between the classroom material and day-to-day experiences. This course will equip the participants with the knowledge on how to facilitate Scrum in their teams and begin the process of change in their organization.
