iPatientCare EHR (2.0) Receives 2014 ONC HIT Certification from ICSA Labs
Woodbridge, NJ (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- iPatientCare, Inc., a pioneer in mHealth and cloud-based ambulatory EHR and integrated Practice Management solutions announced today that the company’s EHR solution, iPatientCare EHR 2014 (2.0) has received 2014 Edition Ambulatory Complete EHR certification by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), in accordance with the applicable eligible professional certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
iPatientCare is one of the early achievers of 2014 Edition Complete EHR certification– an elaborate process that required the company’s EHR software to successfully pass hundreds of rigorous and detailed test steps demonstrating capabilities to support Meaningful Use Stage 2 measures. Meaningful Use Stage 2 changes include higher thresholds of utilization compared to Stage 1, expanded Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs), and new data exchange requirements. New iPatientCare enhancements will improve communication of clinical information for providers serving the healthcare industry.
“We believe this certification puts iPatientCare at the forefront of EHR companies helping providers achieve Meaningful Use Stage 2,” said Udayan Mandavia, president and CEO, iPatientCare. “Just as Stage 1 helped drive innovation, Stage 2 incentives will spur even greater EHR adoption and support for the growing initiatives of coordinated care, patient engagement and will look to achieve better outcomes by practicing evidence-based medicine.”
iPatientCare is now able to make its products available to providers wishing to adopt health IT to demonstrate Meaningful Use and earn federal incentives.
“We view this certification as validating iPatientCare’s lead position among EHR providers dedicated to furthering the transition to value-based healthcare under Meaningful Use Stage 2,” added Kedar Mehta, CTO, iPatientCare.
