Hope For The Warriors Receives Grant from Bob Woodruff Foundation
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 16, 2013 -- Bob Woodruff Foundation awarded a grant to Hope For The Warriors® to support the nonprofit’s continued work with wounded service members and military families. Bob Woodruff Foundation has supported Hope For The Warriors® since 2008. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.
The grant was given to support Clinical Support Services, a pillar of programs that offers a comprehensive spectrum of services to meet the needs of wounded warriors and their families at various points in their recovery and, ultimately, in seeking health and wellness for self and family. Clinical Support Services program work includes integrated case management on various levels engaging individual wounded service members, family support services and family reintegration, and trauma informed care, among others.
“Thank you to the Bob Woodruff Foundation for their grant that focuses on the needs of today’s military family,” Tina Atherall, Hope For The Warriors® executive vice president said. “We are proud of the support that we have gained from the Bob Woodruff Foundation.”
With this generous grant, Hope For The Warriors® will expand Clinical Support Services and extend the program reach and number of military families served. The financial support of the Bob Woodruff Foundation will allow Hope For The Warriors® to hire additional mental health professionals trained in military cultural competency to address the need for clinical support.
“Supporting Hope For The Warriors® since 2008, we continue to be inspired by the organization’s knowledge and understanding of the residual wounds of war affecting our military families. This investment in comprehensive and wrap around care has great promise,” said Anne Marie Dougherty, Executive Director of Bob Woodruff Foundation.
