HEYER Medical, AG in partnership with its cyber-security technology integrator, SENGEX, will be introducing at Medica 2013, BitSafe DS-PHI, providing increased situation awareness data and security to patient anesthesia Patient Health Information (PHI).
BitSafe DS-PHI enables anesthesia providers to easily interface to patient monitoring equipment, document patient and procedure information, convert it to the required format, and store it securely in the Healthcare Providers Information Systems (HPIS) that could be on the local network, remote network or in a cloud-based architecture.
BitSafe DS-PHI performs the interaction between the anesthesiologists and the medical equipment, cryptographically splits PHI and weaves Information Security into the data, and then stores these splits or shares in multiple, separate locations as defined by the healthcare provider.
BitSafe DS-PHI requires no modifications to the medical devices, no alterations to Electronic Healthcare/Medical Records, changes to the healthcare provider’s network security policies or additional IT networking software.
