Morristown, NJ (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- The VNA's Celebration of Life Holiday Event & Tree Lighting, now in its 4th year, has become an annual tradition in downtown Morristown. At 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, the public is invited to attend this free community outdoor tree lighting on the corner of South Street and James Street in Morristown. The event will feature keynote speaker, Kate S. Tomlinson, Publisher of New Jersey Monthly and live musical performances. Light refreshments will be provided. The tradition is held each year to honor and remember loved ones who will be missed during the holiday season.
After the public Tree Lighting Ceremony, invited guests will attend a Wine Tasting & Reception in the VNA headquarters building, featuring, unique selections of wines, hors d’oeuvres, and silent auction items. Tickets are $50 per person in advance or $60 at the door. All proceeds from the event benefit the VNANNJ Foundation.

“This event has become a wonderful VNA tradition that brings the community together to celebrate family and friends and remember those who are no longer with us,” said CEO Faith Scott. “It’s one of numerous seasonal activities we undertake each winter. In fact, the festive holiday season can actually be a time of sadness and stress for the homebound and those who serve as their caregivers. Our VNA has been lending a helping hand by delivering comfort and encouragement year round for more than 115 years.”
