Henley-Putnam University Welcomes New Associate Dean of Intelligence Management Degree Program
Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) November 18, 2013 -- Henley-Putnam University is honored to announce Scott Catino will join the University community as Associate Dean of Intelligence Management.
Dr. Catino is a specialist in U.S. strategic security, modern military studies, and cultural intelligence. He served in the United States, Iraq, and Afghanistan in various supervisory, intelligence, and research posts for the U.S. Army.
In Operation Iraqi Freedom, he served from 2009-2010 as the Deputy Team Leader and Lead Social Scientist of the Human Terrain Analysis Team at Multi-National Division-South, Basra, Iraq. In Operation Enduring Freedom, he worked in 2011 as the acting Senior Intelligence Officer for a Defense Intelligence Agency unit at Camp Julien, Kabul, Afghanistan. During that spring, he embedded with a platoon of the 34th Infantry Division while conducting counterinsurgency operations in Kabul province and was subsequently awarded the Global War on Terrorism service medal. In 2012, Dr. Catino served as a senior intelligence analyst in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Dr. Catino is also a U.S. Fulbright Scholar and graduate of the Senior Leaders Counterinsurgency Academy in Kabul. He has taught graduate courses on military strategy and tactics, military leadership, special air operations, insurgency, cultural intelligence, and other topics at American Military University and the Air Command and Staff College, Online Master’s Program (OLMP).
