Love Your Marriage Night Events With Dr. Randy Carlson Sell Out
Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) November 18, 2013 -- “Love Your Marriage Night” was so successful in 2013, look for more in 2014.
Five of the six events sold out this year, leading the Intentional Living Center to announce it will have more next year, Vice President of Ministry Evan Carlson said.
Dates and times will be announced later.
“We are clearly seeing a desire that people have to strengthen their marriage due to the tremendous response we have experienced from our 2013 ‘Love Your Marriage Night’ events,” Carlson said. “All but one of our fall events sold out early. So because of this we have decided to take this event to new locations in spring of 2014.”
“Love Your Marriage Night” connected with couples because many want to enhance their marriage or save their relationship, said Dr. Randy Carlson, host of the 2-hour events in three states this year, Georgia, Arizona and Michigan.
In a date-night environment, the host of Intentional Living on more than 200 stations nationwide, shows couples how to cherish and enhance their relationships. Dr. Carlson also teaches husbands and wives to recognize warning signs of trouble and how to fix them.
Nearly 5,000 attended “Love Your Marriage” events, including more than 2,000 in Michigan, more than 2,000 in Arizona and more than 700 in Georgia.
Of those who attended in all three states, close to 4,000 accepted Dr. Carlson’s Intentional ONE THING Challenge. The Intentional ONE THING Challenge asks participants to do one thing, such as praising your spouse or exercising, for 30 days until it becomes a habit.
National Promotions Manager Mike Spiva, helped set up the events and surveyed participants afterward on their experience.
“Everyone was so pleased and happy with the experience,” Spiva said. “Everyone I talked to said it was beneficial to their marriage. They left with knowledge and said they would go again, if they could.”
Spiva said volunteers at the churches were tremendous. The “Love Your Marriage” team had less than four hours to set up in Jackson, Mich., on Sunday, Nov. 3, for example, after the First Church of the Nazarene finished services.
“All of the volunteers and churches welcomed not only the listeners, but Dr. Carlson and the staff as well,” Spiva said. “It was incredible.”
Spiva thanked the Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Ga.; North Ridge Community Church in Cave Creek, Ariz.; the Community Church of Joy in Glendale, Ariz., the Lakeside Assembly of God in Shelby Township, Mich.; the Christian Celebration Center in Midland, Mich.; and the First Church of the Nazarene in Jackson, Mich. for their assistance.
Evan Carlson said couples who attended wanted, and found, a fun, engaging night with their spouses.
“They are walking away with a lot of practical advice that they can apply immediately,” he said. “Attendees are telling us that this event is reigniting a flame in their marriages and is an event that has provided both the husband and wife with ideas for how they can work together in improving their marriage.”
