Elmhurst Toyota Holds Second Blood Drive to Fight Breast Cancer on December 18th
Elmhurst, IL (PRWEB) December 04, 2013 -- Elmhurst Toyota is proud to announce their second blood drive to be held on Wednesday, December 18th from 12:00-4:00 PM at their dealership, located at 440 W. Lake Street Elmhurst, IL 60126. Integrative Family Health Associates will be providing a mobile blood drive station on site. Appointments are required for this blood drive, so that the staff can adequately prepare for and accommodate all donors.
The blood drive is to help IFHA’s patient, Connie Weatherford, a strong, upbeat, and positive individual. She has been fighting breast cancer and has needed over 80 pints of blood since April this year to help her in her fight. The blood she receives is from volunteer donors and the goal is to help replenish the supply.
“Our October blood drive for Connie Weatherford was such a huge success that we decided to do it again in December. Last time, we filled every appointment slot and collected 37 pints of blood. We had many donors show up, and sent almost 30 walk-ins over to Adventist Hospital that we were not able to service,” said Kurt Schiele, General Manager at Elmhurst Toyota.
